History: Hermione Jean Granger was born to Mr. and Mrs. Granger on September 19, 1979. From a young age, she liked to read various types of books, especially fiction. She was never one for looks and wore whatever she found comfortable, giving her a tomboy sort of look. She had a very normal childhood with her family. In 1991 her family received a letter from Hogwarts. Much to their surprise, they discovered that Hermione was a witch. She was overly excited and spent all her time memorizing all of the textbooks for that year. She even went as far as performing a few spells correctly. Eager to know more, she bought extra books on the wizarding world in the hopes of learning as much as she could.
When Hermione boarder the Hogwarts Express for the first time, she met Neville Longbottom. While helping him find his toad, she met Ronald Weasley and Harry Potter. She did not think very highly of Ron at first and thought he was not very good at magic. She became very excited and started up conversation with him. She even repaired his glasses. During the sorting hat, Hermione kept on wishing to be placed in Gryffindor. The sorting hat nearly put her in Ravenclaw, but complied and placed her in Gryffindor instead much to her relief. She had a hard time making friends because of her bossy know it all attitude. She decided to stick with Harry and Ron in order to keep them from getting in trouble. She had a very rocky time with Ron and ended up getting her feelings hurt. However, the three were brought closer than ever during an encounter with a troll in the girl’s bathroom. She had many more adventurous times that year including setting Snape’s robes on fire during the Quidditch match. The climax of that year was their adventure to retrieve the Sorcerer’s Stone. The Gryffindors ended up winning the house cup that year.
Before Hermione’s second year, she went with the Weasleys, her parents, and Harry to shop for school supplies at Diagon Alley. In her second year, she was called a mudblood by the pureblood Draco Malfoy. Hermione was hurt but did not let it show until the trio visited Hagrid in his hut. She was comforted by the Weasleys, Harry, and Hagrid. That year she had a crush on the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, Gilderoy Lockhart. Hermione spent all of her free time that year in the library. She became curious about the Chamber of Secrets due to all of the mysterious occurrences that year. She went as far as asking Professor Binns about it during a class period. Since Harry believed Malfoy was the Heir of Slytherin, she started to brew a Polyjuice Potion. Unfortunately, when it came time to use the potion, she could not go with the two boys. She had accidentally grabbed a cat hair for her potion and looked like a cat. She was hospitalized for weeks. Unfortunately, she was petrified by the basilisk that was haunting the school. The information that she had left behind was useful to Harry and Ron. She was cured after Harry and Ron had destroyed the diary of Tom Riddle. She was disappointed to hear that the exams for that year had been canceled.
Before Hermione’s third year, she bought Crookshanks from Diagon Alley and bonded with the cat. Crookshanks is a half-Kneazle. He has a lion like appearance, can solve problems on his own, and can sense whether a person is trustworthy or not. When Hermione boarded the Hogwarts express that year, Ron and Crookshanks did not like each other. Crookshanks did not trust Ron’s rat, Scabbers. That year, Hermione received a time turner from Professor McGonagall. This was a well kept secret so she could take more classes. She defended Buckbeak, the hippogriff that attacked Malfoy, as much as she could. She is able to figure out that Professor Lupin is a wolf and found out her boggart. Hermione ended up dropping Divination, having become angered by it. The trio saw what they believed was Buckbeak’s execution. She was very sad, but pushed that aside when the three chased after Ron’s rat. Ron was pulled into a cavity under the Whomping Willow. Harry and Hermione followed, finding themselves at the Shrieking Shack. That was where the three discovered that Sirius Black wasn’t the bad guy, Ron’s rat was actually Pettigrew, and Lupin was good as well. Hermione and Harry use Hermione’s time turner to go back in time and rescue Sirius and Buckbeak. At the end of the year, Hermione returned her time turner and dropped some of her classes.
During the summer before fourth year, Hermione spent much of her time at the Burrow. She roomed with Ginny Weasley. She went with the Weasley family to the 1994 Quidditch World Cup. She was startled by the Death Eater commotion. Once back at Hogwarts, she started up her house elf campaign. The name was The Society for the Promotion of Elfish Welfare, or SPEW. No one really supported this and even her friends were reluctant to join. After Harry’s name was drawn from the cup, she was the only one to fully believe his innocence. Hermione helped Harry through the Triwizarding Tournament by teaching him key spells. The Durmstrang Triwizard Champion, Viktor Krum, was attracted to her. He even started stalking her, much to her slight annoyance. She was asked to go to the Yule Ball with him and accepted. She really wanted Ron to ask her instead, but was angered by his last minute impolite way of asking. She was saved by Viktor in the second task of the Triwizard Tournament. Rita Skeeter painted Hermione out to be a “Scarlet Woman” by telling false lies. This caused people to get angry at her and act coldly to her until Harry set them straight. She was shocked by the death of Cedric Diggory and the return of Voldemort.
During her fifth year, Ron and her were the only ones to believe that Voldemort had returned. She was extremely happy to learn that she and Ron had been appointed as prefects. Out of the two, she took her task more seriously. She still kept up SPEW, but not as intensely as the previous year. Due to Umbridge’s presence at Hogwarts, she founded Dumbledore’s Army with Ron and Harry. She insisted that Harry took on the role of teacher. She learned many things such as the patronus charm, which was an otter. She gave Harry a lot of advice on girls during the year. Hermione provided for much of the protection of the DA. Unfortunately, the trio and some other DA members were taken in by the Inquisitorial Squad. She tricked Umbridge into thinking they had a secret weapon in the Forbidden Forest, where she was carried off by centaurs. Hermione and Harry met back up with Ron, Luna, Neville, and Ginny. They flew Thestrals to the Ministry of Magic. She participated in the struggle against the death eaters.
During Hermione’s sixth year, she received high academic honor. She received Outstanding marks in all of her classes except Defense Against The Dark Arts, where she received “Exceeds Expectations”. She was highly disappointed by this. Her romantic feelings for Ron intensified and became apparent. She was disgusted and annoyed with Lavender Brown, who began showing a love interest in Ron. She and Harry were invited to Slughorn’s Slug Club. Ron became so angry with Hermione that he decided to go in a public relationship with Lavender. Hermione became heartbroken and angry when she saw the two share a kiss. Ron and Hermione stopped talking after she attacks him with a flock of canaries. To try to get back at Ron, she dates Cormac McLaggen, but becomes annoyed with his personality and how disgusting he was. She decided not to go to the Burrow that Christmas season. The two reconciled due to Ron’s hospitalization after having poisoned mead. Hermione was filled with happiness when he muttered her name while unconscious. He ended up breaking up with Lavender, causing Hermione and him to be on better terms. Hermione was proud to have mastered nonverbal magic that year. Hermione disapproved of Harry’s use of the “Half-Blood Prince Potions Book”. She refused to turn him in, but displayed her frustration. Hermione was very disheartened and tearful at Dumbledore’s funeral. Hermione and Ron promised to go with Harry on his mission to destroy Voldemort’s horcruxes.

Alexia entered the library in a hurry. The downpour outside was increasing and becoming unbearable. She loved the rain, but hated getting soaked. Besides, she did not have a wish to mess up her expensive outfit she donned. The party she had ditched was boring because of all the meaningless chat that went on among the elders.
A smile graced her lips as she saw that the library was fairly empty. The library was her safe place, where she could be who she was without worry. She hated when it was overcrowded, since she couldn’t do what she was about to do with a big population in the area. She gave a curt nod to the normal librarian, Steve. He gave a smirk in reply. The two had been on very friendly terms ever since Alexia moved here. He kept her secret safe and sound. In turn she helped him in his times of trouble and doubt.
After a few winding turns and bends, she reached her destination. The back of the library was deserted, yet clean. She always requested that Steve kept it clean for her. She smirked as she took out a heavy thick volume from her messenger bag. She carefully held it in her arms until she sat comfortably on the black leather chair. She scooted up to the mahogany desk that had three other seats at it. She placed her book on the table and opened it to the page she had bookmarked. “Perfect, now let’s see if I can find something fun and simple to perform.” She grinned. Suddenly, before she could do anything, two books fell. Her eyes narrowed as she stood. Someone was spying on her. “Who’s there?” she growled.
